Followers of the Company Page return!

Company Pages have been being added to with great frequency over the past few months as LinkedIn has been breathing additional life into them – as well as changing their names to just Pages. The menu we see on the main page has had items added to it with an almost frightening frequency, and there is still more to come with the ‘Products’ page that currently appears on LinkedIn’s own Company Page being an indicator of the return of an old favourite.

This finally has been rectified with the return this week of the full details regarding Company Page followers.

Follower Analytics Available

During its absence – it disappeared around February 2019 – LinkedIn has been gradually beefing up the admin area of the Company Pages and the analytics area in particular. It was, however, in the most part at a macro level with the ability to see numbers by a variety of general categorisations such as (more…)

LinkedIn has a whole variety of potential benefits according to what you wish to achive on the site. One key area, however, for almost all areas is the ability to research people and companies that we are going to meet to be better prepared for that encounter.

Connecting to the Company page may sound natural but it is in fact something in most cases that you have to actively do. LinkedIn did used to try to connect you automatically but there were so many mismatches that they no longer bother, so we have to.

Why connect?

There are a number of reasons why you might want to do so. (more…)

I have already had my say … and quite a long rant … which, in summary, is that I consider this to be a backwards step which will hit small businesses quite hard, and particularly those who have been investing time in LinkedIn and creating a strong customer referenced presence on their LinkedIn company page replete with recommendations, videos, links and calls to action. Essentially, a bad move.

However, we need to put this to one side, and take some practical actions to both preserve the information that we have already put into our pages as well as see how we can best benefit from the “new arrangement”. (more…)
