Introduction to LinkedIn (previous)

Come and find out why over 100m business people worldwide and 6m in the UK alone consider LinkedIn to be the pre-eminent business networking platform online. A place where professionals have the ability to connect, develop their sales and market themselves, their skills, services and products.

This session consists of a 90 minute, interactive presentation covering a general introduction to LinkedIn and then concentrating on getting the most out of LinkedIn. We follow this with 30 minutes Q & A, though to be honest, we normally overrun it’s true!

  • How to get the most out of LinkedIn
  • Key considerations when creating a Profile which works
  • Developing your network and integrating your current one
  • LinkedIn applications making your life easier
  • Tools on LinkedIn to push you and your business
  • A recommended weekly LinkedIn workout
  • … and more…

Some testimonials from previous events:

Michel Delran
Event Director at The Business Growth Show
Thanks Jon for a very well run event, lovely crowd and excellent hospitality from Kinnarps. Not mentioning your excellent cakes. I loved the LinkedIn recommendations and the video blogging.

I think the training was the right level which is challenging as it could be a bit geeky. I think there was something of value for everybody to take away.

Well done. Definitely looking for the next one.

I was impressed by the turnout and the venue, Kinnarps certainly provide a very valuable service to us SME networkers so firstly thanks to them. The quality and content of the VERY short presentation by Mark White was informative, educational and enlightening and we should all take notice. I spent the afternoon updating my profile and will continue to watch the Linkedin space with a view to fully exploiting all of its free tools.

Thanks to you Jon – 30 people now know the basics of Linkedin – lets hope they use it wisely.

Specific action that I applied – Did a little update on my profile. Also, as Mark White said whey you invite people to Link send them a small personal message. I am glad to say that both Mark White and Celia did invited me to Link in with their small messages.

Mark’s presentation was clear and inspiring enough for me and others to take small action steps.

Hi Jon & Mark, thanks very much for the LinkedIn morning, it was a helpful refresher to the power of the network. It also introduced me to some overlooked subtleties that can make a difference to your profile and connections.

The location was great thank you Kinnarps and the food was excellent too, a nice mix of the healthy and the not so, which is always a welcome willpower test.

I’ve been more active on Linkedin, since the event than I have for the past couple of months, hence the delayed reply to this.

Looking forward to the next one and thanks very much to all.
