Using LinkedIn to secure your next role
PMI Career Forum (September 2016)

pmi-career-forumIt was a pleasure to meet so many of you at the PMI Career Forum on Thursday and for those who came along to the workshop, then I hope you took away some pointers as to how to help use LinkedIn more effectively from a Job seeking perspective.

I said that would make the presentation available and in addition I have put together a couple of additional documents that might prove of value.

i) Firstly, here is a copy of the slides that I used in the session on Thursday which I trust will make sense – Slide Pack

ii) A copy of the document which should help you to setup your LinkedIn profile in a way which will help it to deliver against the goals you have for the site – “Setting up and Optimising your LinkedIn Profile

iii) Here is a post that I wrote which runs through some of the ideas that I spoke about in the session on how to use LinkedIn from a Job seekers perspective – 6 ways to use LinkedIn as a Jobseeker

iv) A post I published last week about a new alert feature LinkedIn has just announced allowing active job seekers to highlight their availability and requirements to recruiters who are using the LinkedIn Recruiter package – it’s called Communicating your career intentions on LinkedIn.

Finally, if you have any questions, then please feel free to get in contact at mark@linkedintraining.net or via the LinkedIn site where I’d also be happy to connect.

And of course, if you are interested in getting further training or coaching on any aspect of LinkedIn or how to integrate it into your marketing / business development / recruitment strategy, then I do run in-house bespoke sessions nationwide as well as half-day public courses at a variety of locations around the UK including:

  • Cambridge
  • Birmingham
  • Reading
  • Manchester
  • London

Thanks and good luck with your next roles!

All the best,

Mark
